Brighter Futures was created in 1995 to meet a growing need in our community for programs and services for families with young children. Our first centres were opened in Sudbury, Espanola and Valley East.
Over the years, Brighter Futures introduced a number of programs – such as
Creating Healthy Babies and the
Infant Food Cupboard – that continue to meet the needs of our members today. Programs expanded and were offered in the communities of Sudbury East and Massey. In 1998, the organization changed its name to Our Children, Our Future and became a registered charity and incorporated. We began offering daycare services in 2004.
Today, Our Children, Our Future remains committed to securing a better future for the children and families in our community through positive learning and socialization, parent education, nutrition and food programs, and so much more. There is wisdom in preventive measures; therefore, we must invest energy and resources in our children, families and communities today.
