Funders

Our Children, Our Future is able to operate many of its programs with the help of funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada’s (PHAC), Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) and Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP).

Both CAPC and CPNP were designed to provide long-term funding to community partnerships and coalitions to deliver programs that address the prenatal needs of women as well as the health and development of children (0-6 years) who are living in conditions of risk.  It recognizes that communities have the ability to identify and respond to the needs of families and places a strong emphasis on partnerships and community capacity building.

Across the country, CAPC and CPNP projects are guided by the following principles:
  • Children/Mothers and Babies First
  • Strengthening & Supporting Families
  • Equity & Accessibility
  • Partnership & Collaboration
  • Community-Based Programming
  • Flexibility

Our Early Childhood Education Centres are partially funded and made possible by The City of Greater Sudbury’s Children’s Services and the Manitoulin-Sudbury District Social Services Administration Board
